Welcome to a special episode of The Grindbin Podcast. This is the first in a series of interviews with independent filmmakers. We, as we're sure many of you are as well, are filmmakers ourselves and love the opportunity to speak with professionals about their craft.
Recently Chris and Mike had the opportunity to interview filmmaker Tanner Beard about his new Grindhouse Western, 6 Bullets to Hell.
Tanner is an accomplished filmmaker who has written, directed and starred in a number of his own films. He has also been an executive producer for master filmmaker Terrence Malick on his recent Knight of Cups as well as some recently announced projects.
Joining us for the interview is Larry Soileau - Video Game Architect/Designer for Silver Screen Entertainment. He has designed and programmed a mobile game available in the app store for Iphones and Ipads. Larry provides some unique insight into the creative marketing strategy behind the film as well as some great insights into the world of independent filmmaking.
6 Bullets to Hell is a unique specimen in today's independent film market. A movie that attempts to recreate the 1960's style and feel of Spaghetti Westerns. Everything from the script, cinematography, and audio design is designed to emulate the look and feel of an older film. It's a fun picture and something that keeps the independent spirit alive and well.
