90 - Dr. Minx (1975)

Another film from one of our favorite Grindbin directors Howard Avedis (The Teacher, Scorchy) comes a movie not unlike many of his previous films. 

Whether it’s by design or desire, Avedis continually makes morality play films that rely on the trope of an older woman seducing a younger man to disastrous results. For much of his career he would continue to make this movie over and over again in different settings with different characters. Why he would do this is not known. It’s either because of a desire from film companies for more of the same exploitive content or a personal desire and connection to this story.

Despite his recurring themes, Avedis is an interesting study and a creative director who continues to surprise us on the Grindbin.
